Our sneakers fit true to size.
If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller size.
Please note: The memory foam cork insole, developed with a podiatrist, gradually adapts to the shape of your foot, which may slightly influence the fit.
👉 To ensure you choose the correct size, please consult our complete size guide on the website.
Yes, all our sneakers, both Phénix and Éole, are unisex and available in sizes 35 to 46.
They fit all feet, regardless of gender.
Our two collections each have their own identity, but share the same commitment: 100% recycled or bio-based materials.
Éole Collection
- Upper: 100% recycled leather
- Outsole: recycled plastic
- Insole: FSC-certified memory foam cork
- Laces: organic cotton
Phénix Collection
- Upper: recycled plastic
- Outsole: 75% recycled ULVA algae + water-repellent recycled plastic
- Insole: memory foam cork
- Laces: organic cotton
Yes! And here's why:
The algae that make up 75% of our Phénix soles are not cultivated: they are harvested directly from the oceans, where their proliferation, caused by human pollution, suffocates marine wildlife and plants.
By repurposing them, we turn an ecological problem into a resource.
Once dried, they are transformed into flakes and then agglomerated with recycled plastic to form a light, flexible, and breathable sole.
The result: a sole that replaces some petroleum-based plastics, with a reduced carbon impact.
The Phénix is 100% vegan: recycled plastic mesh, algae sole, organic cotton laces: no animal materials.
Eole sneakers, on the other hand, are made of GRS-certified recycled leather. This leather comes from recycling and not from traditional farming, but it is still of animal origin: Eole sneakers are therefore not vegan.
If this is an important criterion for you, the Phénix is for you. 😉
Our sneakers are Made in Europe!
They are designed in France and manufactured in Portugal in a family-run factory!
IKO:NOTT's commitments are based on several pillars.
Materials: 100% recycled leather, recycled plastic outsole and insole, FSC certified cork, organic cotton laces. More recently, the brand developed an algae-based sole, presented on M6.
Manufacturing: designed in France by the founder, manufactured in Portugal in a family workshop, a short supply chain and local expertise approach.
Social commitment: the pouches are sewn by women in a reintegration workshop in Île-de-France, and the tote bag is made in a factory in Delhi working for women's empowerment.
Circular economy: a recycling program allows used shoes to be given a second life, made possible by the use of vegetable-tanned leather.
Environment: from the sole to the box, every detail is designed to reduce our impact! And we continue to make progress.🌿
Yes! These labels and certifications guarantee that our materials meet strict standards.
Here they are:
OEKO-TEX: guarantees that our textiles are free from all toxic substances.
Global Recycled Standard (GRS): guarantees that a defined percentage of our materials is recycled, and that the entire production chain respects strict environmental and social standards.
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC): guarantees sustainable and responsible forest management.
And also: GOTS, Fair Trade Certified, PETA…
On the way to B-Corp: our next certification. 🤞
Concours Lépine 2024: an award obtained for the research and development of our recycled memory foam sole, designed with a podiatrist.

Our products are made to last, provided you give them a little love. 🌿
Eole Collection
🚫 Never machine wash, as this damages the leather and deforms the shoe.
- Leather upper: slightly damp soft sponge, then a little make-up remover milk on a cotton pad to restore its shine.
- Laces: can be machine washed without any problem.
Phenix Collection
Hand washing is always preferable. Machine washing is possible as a last resort (30°C max, delicate cycle, in a mesh bag).
- Mesh upper: damp sponge + Marseille soap, air dry.
- Algae sole: old toothbrush + mild soap (Marseille, baking soda, or toothpaste). No hard brush.
- Cork insole: slightly damp cloth, let dry completely before putting it back.
- Laces: machine wash at 30°C, flat dry.
🚫 In all cases: no tumble dryer, no drying in the sun or on a radiator.
Socks (organic cotton)
Our organic cotton socks are made to last (and to pamper you).
- Wash them at 30°C, preferably inside out, with similar colors.
- Avoid tumble drying to preserve their softness and shape.
By taking care of them, they will take care of you... for a long time. 🧦
Like each of our collections, the brand name is rooted in mythology.
IKO, Phrygian goddess of fire.
NOTT, Norse goddess of ice.
Two opposing forces, two universes united in a single name.
Each of our pairs is also named after a god, goddess, or titan.
It's no coincidence that mythology is at the heart of IKO:NOTT. Our founder Melisande grew up immersed in ancient Greek, Norse, and Egyptian legends… and even dedicated her university thesis to them!
When creating her sustainable sneaker brand, giving each model a mythological name became a natural choice.
