Our IKO:NOTT ATLAS sneakers, from the ORIGINES collection, are made from GRS (Global Recycled Standard)-certified recycled leather.
Our sneakers are made from recycled materials:
- GRS-certified recycled leather upper,
- OEKO-TEX®-certified organic cotton laces, with two pairs in each box.
- recycled plastic outsole,
- FSC®-certified cork insole.
For optimal comfort, we developed our memory foam insole in collaboration with a podiatrist. It’s easy to remove, allowing you to insert your own orthopedic insoles if needed.
Made in Portugal, in a small-scale workshop.

Made from plastic, this outsole is unique because each tiny visible flake is a piece of shredded plastic. A lightweight, durable, and comfortable outsole.
OEKO-TEX-certified recycled plastic laces
Laces made from recycled materials, ensuring safety and gentleness on your skin.
GRS-certified recycled leather upper
The sneaker’s upper is made from recycled leather, featuring very high-quality, water-repellent, easy-to-clean leather.
Shape-memory cork insole
Antibacterial, insulating, and moisture-wicking. Designed in collaboration with a podiatrist for optimal arch support. Winner of the 2024 Lépine Competition..

Most often, these are dormant stock from major leather goods manufacturers; sometimes, they’re scraps from leather goods or furniture (sofas, car seats). By giving it a second life, we reduce CO2 emissions linked to its production by up to 80%.

Your ORIGINES collection is already being manufactured in Portugal and is scheduled to arrive in late September 2026. Pre-ordering guarantees you’ll get your size from this limited-quantity production run, plus a small discount as a bonus.
Recycled leather is animal leather that has already served a first purpose, processed to be reused in a new product without the need for additional livestock or new leather.
At IKO:NOTT, it is certified GRS (Global Recycled Standard), the international standard that guarantees that “recycled leather” is not just a marketing claim: it ensures full traceability from the source material to the finished product, verifies the actual recycled content, and ensures compliance with social and environmental criteria throughout the entire supply chain.

This leather is ground up and then reconstituted without solvents, using plant-based fibers. It comes from France, Italy, or Spain.
